Annette Due Madsen

Annette is a family therapist and psychologist. She is the founder of Styrk Familierne (Strengthen the Families), where she currently works as a chief consultant. For decades, Annette has worked with themes surrounding relationships, and she has given numerous lectures on raising a child with special needs. Last year, she published the book WITHOUT A MANUAL – Being a Parent to a Child with Special Needs (UDEN MANUAL – at være forældre til et barn med særlige behov). The book contains many personal stories and also addresses the themes from a professional psychological perspective.

Additionally, for 25 years, she and her husband have answered questions every Friday in the Danish newspaper Kristeligt Dagblad in the advice column “Ask About Life,” focusing on life’s vulnerable and difficult themes. She has also served on the National Council for Children for 6 years.
