We know that a conference like ECHO can be intense, with a packed schedule. To get the most out of the experience, we believe it is essential to create space for reflection and conversation. This allows you to absorb and process what you’ve heard before moving on to the next session.
That’s why we have groups at ECHO that meet shortly after each main session. These groups are formed based on the choices you make during registration. For example, you can choose to be in a group with your church members or council to discuss how the teaching applies to your specific context. If you prefer a group where only Danish is spoken, you can select that option as well.
ECHO is organized by Indre Mission and IMU (Indre Mission’s Youth) and is based on Evangelical Lutheran theology and values.
We know that serving on a church council or board can sometimes feel like heavy work. We hope that ECHO can provide fresh inspiration and encouragement for your ministry. We offer seminars specifically designed for leaders, focusing on relevant and current themes.
We feel incredibly privileged to have such a broad support across all age groups at ECHO. We know many people miss having opportunities to connect across generations, and this conference provides exactly that. Unless you choose a specific group, we aim to organize our reflection groups with a mix of ages. This offers a wonderful opportunity to gain perspectives different from your own.
Everyone is welcome at ECHO, regardless of where you stand on your faith journey or theological landscape. Although ECHO is based on Evangelical Lutheran foundations, we are very aware that people come from many different backgrounds. Our desire is to create a space where it is okay to ask questions and even disagree. By staying curious about one another and hosting seminars with various perspectives, we hope to facilitate an open dialogue.
We believe that it is important for couples to receive spiritual input and hear teaching together. In daily life, parents often “take turns” – one attends a service while the other watches the children. This means you rarely hear the same message and have to summarize it for each other later. We believe there is great value in experiencing the teaching together, allowing you to discuss what challenged or encouraged you from the same starting point.
At ECHO, our goal is to create a space for fellowship across adult generations, with time for deep, focused conversations. We find that this is difficult to achieve when the focus is also on children’s immediate needs. Meeting as adults, without being defined by our children’s age or needs, allows for a different kind of present conversation.
In our experience, when we prioritize being present and diving deep over an entire weekend, a different kind of conversation emerges. It is an opportunity to invest in yourselves both as individuals and as a couple. We hope ECHO serves as a little spiritual oasis in a busy life, where the agenda is often dominated by logistics and practical chores.
Absolutely. Even though the program is packed, there are plenty of opportunities to network, meet new people, and catch up with old friends. Our lounge area is the perfect place to relax between sessions, and mealtimes are a great opportunity to connect with someone you don’t know yet.
We always aim for a diverse range of seminars, allowing you to tailor the conference to your current situation and ministry. Some sessions are specialized, while others are broader. Whether you are young or old, a pastor or a musician, a board member or a parent of seven, there is something at ECHO for you.
Worship is a central part of our main sessions. To us, worship is a space where we can meet and respond in many different ways. We focus on selecting songs that speak to different generations, ensuring everyone feels included. There is something truly powerful about worshipping together across all ages.
At ECHO, we want to provide fresh inspiration for those who usually spend their time inspiring others. Therefore, we prioritize a high level of theological and professional quality. This is also why the price for ECHO is higher than many other Christian events. Quality requires investment.
We work hard to ensure the preaching is challenging, unique, and relevant. We know you are prioritizing an entire weekend to be here, and we want to honor that. The message is central to our main sessions, not just through the spoken word, but also through creative elements that engage the senses in different ways.
Yes. We prioritize international speakers because they often bring a different perspective and a different style than what we are used to. This challenges us to listen in different ways.
We already have registrations from several countries and are continuously connecting with churches and leaders abroad. A big part of the inspiration at ECHO comes from meeting people from different cultures and walks of life.
